50 Years for Malcolm Tucker

28/01/2017 by Timsbury Parish Council

Timsbury Cricket Club stalwart and Life Member, Malcolm Tucker, was thanked for 50 seasons of unbroken service at the clubs AGM.

Club Chairman, Austin Sage presented Malcolm with a piece of engraved glassware from the club and an autographed cricket bat from Somerset County Cricket Club,

During the past half century Malcolm captained just about every team in the Club, was Chairman for 11 years and fixtures secretary for many more. In recent summers he has served in the score box and as press officer.

When thanking everyone for their support Malcolm identified the pinnacle of his time with the Club as being the team’s appearance at Lords, 10 years ago, in the final of the National Village Knock Out during his tenure as Chairman.
