B&NES have advised that they intend to make an order to the effect of introducing a temporary road closure in the length of High Street/The Square for about 80 metres from its junction with Maggs Hill. This will take effect from 15th July 2024 for around 12 days. This order is required because works are being or are proposed on or near the road to allow Openreach access to lay duct in the footway/carriageway and to construct a box in the footway.
The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be in effect for the whole period.
