Look! This Was Timsbury by James Shaw

Last updated: 15/03/2026

RETURN TO HISTORY MAIN MENU

Look! This Was Timsbury was a project completed by James Shaw when he was in the first year at Norton Hill School in 1990. It was a geography project and he received a White Slip Award for it. His research included material from the Timsbury Village Book and information from Martin Jeffs and Clarice Notley in particular. There are maps showing the location of old shops, descriptions of schools, farming, Timsbury during World War II and old Bloomfield. Look! This Was Timsbury provides a detailed view of the village in the past.
