A copybook century from Mark Sage was the highlight of Timsbury 1st XI’s crucial 82-run victory away to close rivals Hanham in the Bristol and District League Senior Divisio . Timsbury 1st XI enjoyed a day to remember with a comprehensive ten-wicket win at home to Clevedon seconds  in the Bristol and District League Senior  Division. Having dismissed the visitors for 81 Timsbury reached their target just after four o’clock without losing a wicket. Gary Pearcy made the early breakthrough for the home side and then Kev Sibley bowled a typically miserly spell of nine overs taking 3-12. Timsbury 1st XI’s batting woes continued in their home match with Claverham in the Bristol and District League Senior  Division finishing 49 runs short of their target after dismissing the visitors for 132. Timsbury had put in a strong performance in the field giving themselves a good chance of a second victory of the season. A vastly understrength Timsbury 1st XI proved no match for Stapleton in the Bristol and District League Senior  Division and were beaten at home by eight wickets. After being put into bat the home side made a promising start with opener Mark Sage taking a liking to the bowling of Hussnain Sajid who conceded 21 in his three overs before being removed from the attack.  Timsbury 1st XI opened their campaign in the Bristol and District League Senior  Division with a crushing defeat at home to Bradley Stoke  but there was much better news for the club’s second string and  third eleven. Things could not have gone worse for the first team who were dismissed for a paltry 48 after being put into bat. Timsbury Athletic had much the better of their local derby with Clutton in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division and three goals in each half saw them claim a 6-0 home victory. Clutton had a good spell early in the second half but overall they struggled to make an impact in the match. The home side dominated the first half and took the lead after 13 minutes. Timsbury Athletic bounced back from their first league defeat since October with a 2-0 home win against Ilminster Town in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division.
