Timsbury Athletic celebrated their first home game of the season in the Somerset County League Premier Division with a comfortable 5-0 victory over neighbours Clutton. The young inexperienced visitors kept going to the end but they were no match for the home side. Roger Bird has been such an influential member of Timsbury Cricket Club for so long that it is difficult to envisage a future without him. He began playing for the club in the 1950s and has fulfilled nearly every position in the club both on and off the field. After a season plagued by wet weather the sun shone for the final game of the season but there were no celebrations for Timsbury who lost by two wickets away to Old Bristolians Westbury to finish in the bottom two of the Bristol and District League Senior Division. A fine all-round performance from Gary Pearcy was not quite enough to earn Timsbury victory away to Stapleton in the Bristol and District League Senior Division but they came agonisingly close before losing by two wickets against opponents who are third in the table . Timsbury were left bemoaning their luck after suffering a four-wicket home defeat to Bristol Pakistanis in the Bristol and District League Senior  Division.
