Timsbury’s exciting season shows no sign of going away and in the latest cliffhanger they defeated league leaders Bath 3rd XI by three wickets off the last ball of the match. For the second time this season Timsbury and Keynsham second eleven served up a thrilling encounter in the Bristol and District League Division 1 and just like their first meeting it went to the very last ball of the match. Another fine all round team effort saw Timsbury First Eleven overcome promotion rivals Lodway. Midsomer Norton seconds had much the better of things in their local derby at Timsbury winning comfortably by 63 runs in the Bristol and District League Division 1. Once again it was the experienced all-rounder Martin Cox who proved to be Timsbury’s nemesis with another dominant performance in the searing heat. A fine all-round team performance saw Timsbury complete the double over Lansdown 2nd XI with a 28-run away win in the Bristol and District League Division 1. It proved a disappointing weekend for Timsbury Cricket Club with all three teams suffering defeats. The first team’s position at the top of the Bristol and District League Division 1 lasted just one week following a seven-wicket defeat away to Whitchurch.
