Roger Bird has been such an influential member of Timsbury Cricket Club for so long that it is difficult to envisage a future without him. After a season plagued by wet weather the sun shone for the final game of the season but there were no celebrations for Timsbury who lost by two wickets away to Old Bristolians Westbury to finish in the bottom two of the Bristol and District League Senior Division. A fine all-round performance from Gary Pearcy was not quite enough to earn Timsbury victory away to Stapleton in the Bristol and District League Senior Division but they came agonisingly close before losing by two wickets against opponents who are third in the table .
