Timsbury Athletic are through to the semi-finals of the Uhlsport Somerset County League Cup for Premier and Division 1 teams after a hard fought 3-1 home win against Division 1 local rivals Peasedown Miners Welfare. Timsbury Athletic withstood a spirited second half comeback from Clevedon United to claim three more points in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division. Leading at one point by four clear goals Timsbury endured a nervy end to the game before eventually securing a 5-3 home win. 2023 Cricket Club Presentation Night

The annual Presentation evening of Timsbury Cricket Club which was held at Camerton Village Hall was tinged with sadness following the recent death of its longest serving member Roger Bird. Tributes were led by Club chairman Ben Hosford who outlined the wonderful service that Roger and his wife Yvonne had given to the club both on and off the field stretching back as far back as the 1950s. Timsbury Athletic celebrated their first home game of the season in the Somerset County League Premier Division with a comfortable 5-0 victory over neighbours Clutton. The young inexperienced visitors kept going to the end but they were no match for the home side. Bus Service Petition

The campaign to restore regular bus services to the rural areas of North East Somerset is going ahead with a petition to Dan Norris, mayor of the West of England Combined Authority.  WECA is the Transport Authority with £57m to spend on buses and the Government’s permission to support regular buses. South Road closure

On Tuesday September 26th the length of South Road will be closed from its junction with Southlands Drive to its junction with Mill Lane. This is required to enable National Grid to replace decayed electricity poles and reconductoring works for a maximum period of four days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
