First Division Timsbury Athletic twice came within one successful penalty of knocking out another Premier League side in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Cup competition for Premier and Division One sides but in the end it was Chilcompton Sports who prevailed to win the penalty shoot-out 6-5. Camerton Village Hall was packed for the annual Presentation evening of Timsbury Cricket Club with all three teams well represented. The evening began with applause for all those associated with the club who had been lost over the last couple of years. The Parish Council has received the sum of £50,216. The money must be spent within the next five years on village infrastructure for the benefit of the community. The money comes from a levy imposed by B&NES Council on the new Upper Conygre development which is situated at the crossroads on the old mining site (formerly known as Wheelers Yard).
