Cricket 14.8.2021: Shirehampton 132 Timsbury 90

16/08/2021 by Timsbury Parish Council

Timsbury wasted a great opportunity of making further progress in the Bristol and District League Senior Division with a poor batting display losing by 42 runs away to bottom club Shirehampton. The bowlers had done their part earlier taking the last nine home wickets for a mere 50 runs but in the end it was to no avail. After being put into bat Shirehampton got off to the fastest of starts with the aggressive  Adam Geddes taking the attack to the opposition. The visitors were not helped by a … [Read more...] about Cricket 14.8.2021: Shirehampton 132 Timsbury 90

Cricket 31.7.2021: Keynsham 2nd XI 169 Timsbury 169

02/08/2021 by Timsbury Parish Council

In a game that had more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie novel  Keynsham 2nd XI and Timsbury tied their latest match in the Bristol and District League Senior Division. It was a game that both teams will look back on and think they should have won but ultimately a tie was probably the right result. Batting first Keynsham collapsed to 121-8 but a sensible partnership between ex-Timsbury batsman Colin Arblaster and the experienced John Courtenay pushed the score up to a much more … [Read more...] about Cricket 31.7.2021: Keynsham 2nd XI 169 Timsbury 169
