The West of England Combined Authority is supporting the region’s recovery as shops begin to open by helping those who cannot work from home to return to work safely. From Monday 15 June passengers must wear a face covering on public transport. Posters will be displayed in bus shelters advising passengers how to keep our buses safe. From the 31st May we are running far more buses to provide more seats for keyworkers and essential journeys. Bloomfield Road closure from June 8th

The length of Timsbury Road / Bloomfield Road, from a point 60m south of Hillside Farm to the junction with North Road, will be closed for carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works from Monday,  June 8th. See the map here for the extent of the works. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position (expected to be between 7.00am and 7.00pm) and the work may not last for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Online Wellbeing courses

First Bus announces new rules for bus travel

Timsbury Royal British Legion VE Day Celebrations Friday 8th May

All celebrations that were planned throughout the country for this day sadly had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus. However, the Royal British Legion Somerset have asked all Branches to parade their Standard in their communities on the 8th May at 1100hrs to observe the two minutes silence. 768 Bus Changes from 3rdMay

Starting 3 May 2020, some journeys on bus service 768 will run via Writhlington to restore a limited daytime service to the Manor Park and Frome Road areas on Mondays to Fridays (not Public Holidays). Garden waste collections resume

B&NES Council is restarting fortnightly garden waste collections on Monday, April 27th after the service was temporarily paused due to the Covid-19 outbreak.  Residents will receive extra green waste collections before they are asked to renew, to make up for missed collections.  Existing garden waste stickers will now be valid until July 18th 2020 to make up for the missed collections.
