26 New Houses Approved in Timsbury

The planning application to develop the derelict site at the corner of North Road and The Avenue has at last been approved by B&NES Council, with some conditions currently being investigated. 26 new houses will be built, plus some office spaces. There will be a new road onto North Road and pedestrian facilities. This follows much consultation by the owner with the Parish Council and the village during 2018. Parish Council Village Precept for 2020/21

The Timsbury Parish Council Precept for the village that will be included in Council Tax bills for the year from April 2020/21 will amount to £69,000. This total will be divided between the households in the village (approximately 1,200) according to Council Tax band and the number of adults in residence. The charge for a Band D house is expected to be about £74 for the year, an increase of just over £1 per month compared with 2019/20. B&NES Council publishes budget plan

New investment in key priority areas including tackling the climate emergency and delivering more affordable housing, will be considered by Bath & North East Somerset Council’s cabinet as part of its budget-setting process.
