Midsomer Norton second eleven and Timsbury served up a cricket classic in a Bristol and District League Division 1 clash that produced over 500 runs, saw two individual centuries and which was in doubt right to the final ball. Timsbury made a fine start to the new cricket season with a four-wicket win at home to Lansdown second eleven in the Bristol and District League Division 1. There was also a stunning win for the third team who struggled last season but who made a great start to the new campaign. Jesse Bishop was re-elected as first team captain when Timsbury Cricket Club held its AGM at the clubroom. There is a new vice-captain, however, with Lewis Redwood who had a first successful year with the club replacing Kevin Sibley. The chairman, Ben Hosford continues at the helm of the club but has decided to stand down as second team skipper. Adam Workman takes over with Dan Hill as vice-captain.
