It proved a disappointing weekend for Timsbury Cricket Club with all three teams suffering defeats. The first team’s position at the top of the Bristol and District League Division 1 lasted just one week following a seven-wicket defeat away to Whitchurch. With one game of the first half of the season to go Timsbury stand at the top of the Bristol and District League Division 1. A fine all-round display saw  Timsbury win by 103 runs away to Clevedon 2nd XI in the  Bristol and District League Division 1 to move to second place in the table. The confident start to the season has seen them win five matches out of seven with just one defeat. In a weekend full of drama Timsbury enjoyed its best day of the season with another nailbiting win for the first team, a thrilling run chase for the seconds and an amazing fightback from the third eleven to claim an exciting tie. Midsomer Norton second eleven and Timsbury served up a cricket classic in a Bristol and District League Division 1 clash that produced over 500 runs, saw two individual centuries and which was in doubt right to the final ball. Timsbury ended their season in disappointing fashion with a three-wicket defeat at home to near neighbours Midsomer Norton 2nd XI  in  the Bristol and District League Division 1. After leading the division for large parts of the campaign they ultimately finished in fourth place. A 15-run defeat away to Lansdown 2ndXI  in the penultimate game of the season ended any realistic hopes of promotion for Timsbury in  the Bristol and District League Division 1.
